Overview
Explore Lake Tahoe’s backcountry on a guided 13-mile round-trip ATV adventure to a hidden alpine lake. Ride approximately 6.5 miles from the trailhead to the lake and 6.5 miles back, experiencing uneven mountain trails, changing elevations, scenic viewpoints, and time to enjoy the secluded lake.
Each booking includes a two-person ATV, allowing two guests to share one machine. No previous ATV experience or driver’s license is required. Every driver receives a complete safety briefing and supervised practice session before entering the trail.
The price includes your two-person ATV, professional guide, full-face helmets, fuel, applicable entrance fees, a stop at the hidden alpine lake, and round-trip shuttle transportation from the Adventure Lake Tahoe office or selected Stateline/South Lake Tahoe pickup locations. This is a complete guided backcountry experience rather than a short ATV rental or unguided ride.

If you selected Caesars Republic Hotel, please wait in the hotel lobby beginning 20 minutes before your scheduled tour. Your shuttle driver will call when they arrive. After receiving the call, exit the lobby and meet the driver near the hotel valet in the designated pickup and drop-off loading zone.Your guide or driver will be wearing an Adventure Lake Tahoe shirt. Look for a white Ford passenger van. There is no permanent Adventure Lake Tahoe sign at the hotel loading zone, so please answer your shuttle driver’s phone call.

- No previous ATV-riding experience or driver’s license is required. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and should feel comfortable operating an ATV on uneven, unpaved mountain terrain. Passengers must be at least 8 years old.
- Before entering the trail, every driver receives a safety briefing, operating instructions, and a supervised practice session. Guests must demonstrate that they can safely control the ATV and follow the guide’s instructions.
- This tour involves vibration, bumps, uneven terrain, inclines, descents, dust, and changing mountain conditions. Seniors are welcome but should be in good general health and able to safely mount, dismount, and ride an ATV. Guests with medical conditions, mobility limitations, recent injuries, or concerns about participating should consult their doctor before booking.
- Walking is minimal during this experience. At the Adventure Lake Tahoe office, the parking area is adjacent to the building, with an estimated walking distance of approximately 100 feet or less from the parking area to the front desk. Walking distance at hotel pickup may vary depending on where the hotel valet directs the shuttle.
- The passenger shuttle has steps and does not have a wheelchair lift. Guests must be able to enter and exit the shuttle using the steps.
- An accessible restroom is available at the Adventure Lake Tahoe office before departure. Restroom availability is limited or unavailable after leaving the office and while traveling on the mountain trail.
