Ryan was a fabulous guide! While we kayaked he shared personal anecdotes about living in Lake Tahoe as well as the history of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Definitely recommed!

I had the most wonderful afternoon hanging with my friends and learning all about the plants of Sierra Nevada. And we made our own incense. It was so fun. Sarah the owner of Hippie Juice Wellness is a vast of information. And you can tell this is something she truly loves and loves sharing with others. Book a class! It’s so fun and the incense is all natural and smells wonderful.

I had such a wonderful time learning how to make natural incense. Sara was incredibly knowledgeable about local plants and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. it was peaceful, hands on, and unlike anything I’ve done before in Tahoe. I left with beautiful hand made incense and a deeper appreciation for the plants around me. I highly recommend this experience!

This tour was wonderful—informative, engaging, and truly memorable. Matt made everything easy to understand for both me and my 13-year-old son, and he was incredibly patient while answering all of our questions. The scenery was beautiful, and the walk itself was a relaxing trek through the forest where we identified different tree species, local fauna, and even learned how to spot clues that explain why some trees may have died. It really opened our eyes to how much is happening around us in nature that we often overlook. The wild-life is a plus! We were lucky to see a hawk sitting up in the trees watching us as we passed by.The log-splitting demonstration was especially interesting. I had never split logs before, so learning the technique and actually getting to try it myself was a fun, hands-on experience. My son absolutely loved this part.Ending the experience by cozying up around a fire with s’mores and hot cocoa felt less like a tour and more like spending time with friends. Matt is exactly the kind of friendly local you hope to meet—knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does.I highly recommend booking this experience for families, couples, or friend groups. It’s not only educational and rooted in caring for nature, but also personal, memorable, and incredibly enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I had a wonderful experience, I booked this arborist experience during December 2025 and honestly didn’t know what to expect in winter, but it ended up being one of the best outdoor activities I’ve done all year. The Matthew and team provided all the gear we needed, explained everything clearly, and made sure we were comfortable despite the chilly weather.The session started with a safety briefing and a fascinating introduction to tree care, different species, and how arborists keep trees healthy, especially during the colder months. I had no idea how much work goes into winter preparation for trees—it was genuinely interesting.Matthew was patient and clearly experienced, with regards to any questions especially pertaining to trees in the Tahoe basin.What really stood out was how passionate the team were. They clearly love what they do, and their enthusiasm makes the whole experience feel special.Even in December, this was amazing and absolutely worth doing. I’d recommend dressing warm and bringing layers, but don’t let the season put you off!

Had a great time paddleboarding. 3 hours was plenty of time to explore on the lake. They even offered the use of kayaks at no additional charge.

We had a great time. We booked an early morning lesson at 8:00 AM. As we headed to the lake, there was still an early morning chill so we weren’t sure we really wanted to be on the water, but we are so glad we did. First, it warmed up quickly. And second, standup paddle boarding is a lot more strenuous than we had guessed it would be. So we were warm the entire time. It also didn’t hurt that the instructors were great, so we never actually ended up in the water (which no doubt would have been cold). They had us paddle boarding like pros in just minutes.Note: we reserved our lesson via Cool Lake Tahoe and the email we got listed the meeting point as their office at 521 N Lake Blvd. We nearly missed our lesson waiting there until the instructors called us to let us know to come down to Commons Beach. Please note that this is the correct meeting place, down on the beach.

We had an amazing time with Sara. Her house and workspace was so inviting and inspiring. She explained how she curated the pine and distilled the herbs for aromatics. So cool! We learned a lot, so feel there is so much more to learn from her-i’d definitely recommend this class and any other one she teaches .

Excellent, low-key, relaxing kayaking morning with Ashton. He was adaptable to various skill levels and included moments of reflection along with the paddling. He shared history of the lake and area as well other local stories. Our group of 4 had a fantastic time.

This is a leisurely outing, great for families of all ages and abilities. Our guides Si, Annette and Dean were so much fun and very knowledgeable.

The Arborist Hike & Activity with Matt was amazing! As a nature lover, I was excited to see this sort of tour being offered in S Lake Tahoe. Such a great educational way to explore this beautiful area! Matt is a master of his craft, very knowledgeable and fun. The hike was so interesting that the time seemed to fly by and left me wanting to come back for more. It definitely inspired me to pay even closer attention to surrounding nature. To finish off the tour we gathered around a campfire making s'mores and sharing stories, which was a very comforting culminating point of the tour. I must add that the whole staff of Adventure Lake Tahoe are wonderful, very accomodating, and treat you like royalty. Highly recommend this tours!!!

It was beautiful! The water was so clear. Makaylin was so friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t feel rushed at all. It was a great time!

The guide was very informative, He was very aware of my 88 year old sister and her capabilities. He treated her with respect and made it fun for her.
